Located in a rustic cattle
ranching community, Likely Place was developed as a way to diversify
the family's business from ranching into recreation. Modoc County
is one of California's last frontiers with an abundance of history,
wildlife, fishing, and beautiful high desert and alpine scenery.
Modoc County is the true old west with soaring mountains, clear
lakes and bubbling springs that all filter down to a wide valley
of the Pit River.
The family's choice of an RV park was influenced by the continuous
flow of RV travelers up and down State Highway 395 and the recreational
demand and resources in the county.
The golf course was developed because the popularity of golf continues to grow for those who enjoy the RV lifestyle as well as for others in the surrounding community. The combination of the RV Park and golf course was the perfect match for a "destination RV park" where RVers can stay and have access to America's favorite pastime, golf.
The property consists of 520 acres with many ponds, trees and
wildlife. It is not uncommon to see Ducks, Canada Geese, Mule
Deer, Quail, and lots of other wildlife right on the property.
The golf course is a links style course that plays around the perimeter of the property. "Likely Links" golf course provides many wonderful views of the Warner Mountains and the high desert foothills and plateaus. The course was designed and constructed beginning in 1995 and completed in 2007. The eighteen hole course is 72 par, 6610 yards with a NCGA slope rating of 121. We feature a driving range and practice putting green. All levels of golfers enjoy the long fairways and large greens.
The clubhouse has a small pro shop and diner which provides breakfast, lunches daily. Evening dinners and events will be catered. The RV Park has 50 large sites, tents sites, showers, bathrooms and a laundry room.
